Project #3

Modified Image #1
For this image, there is a lot of repetitive techniques that were used. I basically followed one techniques and just repeated it throughout all of the images. Listed below is the techniques I used and will explain in the following sections:

Desaturation
The first thing that I did with my image was desaturate it (grayscale). To desaturate an image, go to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate. Once I desaturated my image, it allowed me full control of color adjustment because it won't blend or mix with any other color.

Polygon Lasso Tool
Most of my work was done using this tool. For me to just change one color from an object, let's say the trees, I had to first use the Polygon Lasso Tool and select the entire tree. It didn't have to fully accurate because I would erase the extras afterwards. After I have finished with the selection, I then copied the image (Ctrl-C), create a new layer (Ctrl-N), and pasted (Ctrl-V) the selection to the new layer. On the new layer, I then transformed my image to a differnet color, when I will cover in the next section.

Color Transform
To transform the color of my tree, I modified the color balance of the layer (Image>Adjustments>Color Balance). Depending on the object that I am changing the color, I would choose different color levels. For creating the roadway, I increased my yellow levels 100%. The same process was used for the other objects on my image.
